Some staff members have accused Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of treating them unprofessionally, raising concerns about their behavior behind the scenes.
Renowned royal biographer Robert Lacey highlights one such incident in his book, *Battle of Brothers*. He describes how Melissa Touabti, a former employee, felt “traumatized” by Meghan’s actions. According to Lacey, Meghan requested personalized red blankets for guests attending a Sandringham shooting party. However, when the blankets arrived in a shade of red that displeased her, the duchess reportedly became very upset, leaving Melissa feeling overwhelmed.
This incident led to Melissa’s resignation just six months after the event at St George’s Chapel. Yet, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Duran provide a contrasting narrative in their book *Finding Freedom*. They suggest that Melissa’s work did not meet expectations and that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not unhappy with her departure.
