The government has introduced the Feed Ghana Programme deployment to engage 5,000 agricultural graduates across Ghana. Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang announced the initiative during the 2025 Asogli Yam Festival in the Volta Region.
She said the programme aims to transform research findings into practical solutions for farmers. The graduates will work directly with farmers to improve yields, teach modern farming methods, and strengthen agricultural extension services.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang explained that the 2025 budget includes strong support for Feed Ghana and other projects such as the Vegetable Development Project and the Nkokɔ Nkititi poultry initiative.
She encouraged the youth to embrace opportunities in agriculture and agribusiness. The government, she noted, continues to provide training and access to funding to make farming more profitable and sustainable.
This Feed Ghana Programme deployment seeks to increase productivity, reduce post-harvest losses, and expand market access across all regions. It forms part of the government’s broader effort to boost food security and rural development.
