President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to promote a child focused Ghana vision. His message followed the First Lady’s address at the UN prayer service for children. Mrs. Lordina Mahama called on leaders to protect children’s rights and secure their future.
Mahama promised that his government will design policies to support children. He stressed that education, health, and social protection will receive greater focus. Vulnerable groups will get targeted help. Civil society and ministries will work together to provide resources for families and child growth.
The First Lady, during her UN speech, raised global concerns about poverty, conflict, and exclusion. She urged leaders to act with real commitment. Neglecting children, she said, weakens progress and damages future generations.
Mrs. Mahama also shared the work of the Lordina Foundation. It helps orphans and marginalized children in communities across Ghana. She urged faith groups, philanthropists, and governments to create safe spaces for all children.
Mahama concluded by assuring that clear monitoring will guide the child focused Ghana vision. He said the pledge will not remain words but bring lasting change.
