NPP Announces Comprehensive Security and Operational Plans for July 19, 2025 National Delegates Conference

Conference Date and Venue Confirmed

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has released detailed security and logistical plans ahead of its 2025 National Annual Delegates Conference. The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

Strict Access Control for Accredited Delegates

Only accredited delegates and officials with valid badges or passes will be granted access. Security personnel will strictly enforce entry rules. Anyone without proper accreditation will be removed from the venue.

Delegates Zoned to Prevent Disruptions

Delegates will be assigned to specific zones to minimize disruptions. Any incidents of misconduct will be addressed promptly and firmly.

Medical Preparedness and Emergency Support

The Health and Safety Committee has set up ten medical stations—three outside and seven inside the stadium. These will be staffed by 50 volunteer medical professionals. An emergency team from the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC), along with the National Ambulance Service, will also be on standby.

Enforcement of Covid-19 Protocols

Covid-19 protocols will be strictly followed throughout the conference. Internal security teams will work in coordination with the Ghana Police Service to maintain order. Officers will be stationed at accommodations, cooking points, and resting areas to ensure the safety of all participants.

Regional Entry Gates and Restricted Zones

To control movement efficiently, each of Ghana’s 16 regions will use a designated entry gate. Osei-Wusu warned that anyone who breaches security or behaves unlawfully will face legal consequences. The stadium’s inner perimeter will be a restricted area, open only to those with special responsibilities.

Ban on Campaign Materials and Branding

A complete ban on campaign activities has been put in place. No billboards, banners, posters, T-shirts, flyers, or souvenirs with aspirant branding will be allowed. Compliance teams will confiscate and destroy any such materials.

Delegate Welfare and Logistics Finalized

Logistics related to accommodation, transport, and feeding have been finalized. Further instructions will be shared with regional party executives on Monday, July 14.

Controlled Media Access and Setup Guidelines

Media access will also be tightly controlled. Journalists must complete online accreditation. They will collect their badges on Friday, July 18, at noon. A media village will be set up at the venue with studios for both English and Twi commentary. A clean audio-visual feed will support all broadcast stations. Satellite links will assist outlets operating outside Accra.

Media teams must complete their setup at least 12 hours before the event. A support desk will be available to handle any technical issues or queries.

Public Urged to Follow via Media Platforms

Osei-Wusu urged the general public, especially non-delegates, to follow the conference through television and other media channels. He emphasized that no special access would be granted to uninvited individuals.
