Power Outages Scheduled on July 13, 2025, for ECG Maintenance Across Key Ghana Regions

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced planned maintenance activities set to occur on Sunday, July 13, 2025. These essential operations aim to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the power distribution network across several regions.

According to the public notice issued on Friday, July 11, the maintenance works will affect parts of the Western, Tema, and Greater Accra regions. ECG emphasizes that these upgrades are critical for improving service delivery to both residential and commercial customers.

In the Western Region, there are two scheduled maintenance periods. The first will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., impacting areas such as Vienna City, Mankessim White House, Accra Station, and nearby communities. The second session will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., affecting Daboase, Sekyere Krobo, Sekyere Nsuta, Aboaboso, Bosomase, and their environs.

For the Tema Region, power interruptions are expected from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Affected communities include Mobole, Ataa Mensah, Boishe, Afienya, Philip Kope, Greenhouse Enclave, among others.

In Greater Accra, the maintenance exercise is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will result in outages impacting multiple industrial and residential zones. Notable affected locations include Kings Cottage, KICC, Taxis Tires, Western World, Guinness Depot, Rebecca Fashion Manufacturing Ltd, Frosty Bite Company, Perfect Pharmaceutical, Shivan Ghana Ltd, Mawums, Akuaba Refinery, Eskay Pharmaceutical, Royal Crown Ltd, West Coast Beverages, Equator Foods, Intelligent Card Products, Healthy Life, DPS, Daysack Company Ltd, Afro Tropic, Timber Market, Adedenkpo, and surrounding areas.

ECG has issued an apology for any inconvenience these temporary interruptions may cause and urges customers to prepare accordingly. The company recommends that users take necessary safety precautions and stay informed through ECG’s official communication channels.
