Nabdam MP Cautions Youth Against Security Service Recruitment Scams

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Nabdam, Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane, has cautioned young people against youth paying for security recruitment processes, warning that no legitimate recruitment into any of Ghana’s security agencies requires payment.

Speaking at a community event, the MP revealed that some fraudsters are deceiving job seekers by promising them placements in the police, military, or immigration services for a fee. He emphasized that such actions are illegal and that genuine recruitment is conducted transparently through official government channels.

Dr. Nawaane urged the youth to remain vigilant and avoid being lured by individuals claiming to have influence in the security sector. He added that victims often lose large sums of money without ever being employed, leading to frustration and mistrust.

The legislator further appealed to traditional and community leaders to help spread awareness about these fraudulent activities. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the youth through legal employment opportunities and skill development programs.

Dr. Nawaane concluded by reminding the public that any security service recruitment that demands payment should be reported immediately to law enforcement agencies for investigation.
