Excitement Builds as Formula E Returns to Berlin

The anticipation is mounting as Berlin prepares to host the 2026 Hankook Berlin E-Prix, marking the seventh and eighth rounds of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Known for its electric atmosphere and historic races, the Tempelhof Airport circuit is set to witness another thrilling weekend.

Nyck de Vries, representing Mahindra Racing, expressed his enthusiasm for returning to Berlin, a city where he cherishes fond memories. After missing recent events due to scheduling conflicts, de Vries is eager to make his mark in Mahindra colors. “We’ve had challenging races in Jeddah and Madrid, but the car has potential. Berlin is the perfect stage to harness this pace and build momentum,” he noted.

Felipe Drugovich of Andretti Formula E is optimistic about the Berlin race, having previously competed on this track. “It’s advantageous to revisit a familiar circuit. My prior experience here boosts my confidence as I aim to contribute significantly to the team’s standings,” Drugovich explained.

Team Envision Racing’s Joel Eriksson is also looking forward to Berlin, where he first raced with his current team. “Returning to this circuit brings back great memories. I’m excited to enhance my performance this season,” he shared.

Antonio Felix da Costa from Jaguar TCS Racing is riding high on recent successes. “Our team’s cohesion has been phenomenal, leading to consecutive victories. Berlin is a favorite, and with our current momentum, I’m ready for another strong outcome,” he remarked.

Fans can expect an action-packed weekend, with Free Practice sessions commencing on Friday, followed by qualifying and races on Saturday and Sunday. The event promises intense competition as drivers vie for crucial championship points.
