His recent visit to the border regions of Ghana’s Northern Region underscored the necessity of ongoing cooperation to tackle emerging security threats. The ambassador also mentioned the importance of training and capacity-building initiatives as part of this partnership.

In response, Minister Muntaka expressed gratitude for Germany’s continued support of Ghana’s security infrastructure. He acknowledged the extension of the Coastal States Stability Mechanism, which has been instrumental in bolstering border security. However, he pointed out that Northern Ghana still faces intricate security challenges that demand sustained international collaboration.
