Ghanaian Artist Sefa Shares Insights on Career Choices and Growth

In a recent interview on Hitz FM, Ghanaian singer Sefa opened up about her early career and the unexpected advice she received regarding her height. Many suggested that she pursue a military career, but Sefa remained unwavering in her commitment to music.

During her conversation with Doreen Avio, Sefa reflected on the challenges and opinions she faced as she embarked on her musical journey. She stated, “People were telling me that I should become a soldier because of my height. However, I knew in my heart that my true calling was in music.”

Despite the external pressure, Sefa emphasized the importance of following one’s passion. “I told them that this is my passion. It’s essential to pursue what you love. It’s my dream, and not everyone will understand my vision,” she added.

After signing with her record label, the artist made it clear that her focus was not on competing with her peers but on establishing a unique identity in the industry. “When I joined the label, my mindset was to work diligently and make my name recognized. I didn’t concentrate on outshining my label mates; my goal was to ensure that my music resonated with listeners,” she explained.

Today, Sefa expresses gratitude for her progress and the recognition she has gained. “Now, I can confidently say that we have become a household name, and I’m thankful to God and my label for the journey,” she remarked, noting that those who once doubted her ambitions are beginning to acknowledge her hard work and dedication.
