On January 30, 2026, the Minerals Commission of Ghana hosted a significant meeting with Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, during his annual visit. Accompanying the Minister was Yusif Sulemana, the Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, representing the government’s dedication to sustainable management of the nation’s mineral wealth.
Key attendees included William Ntow Boahene, the Chairman of the Board of the Minerals Commission, alongside other board members, emphasizing the importance of collaborative governance in the sector.
This meeting coincided with the Commission’s first Board meeting for the year, where discussions focused on the sector’s future, regulatory reforms, and operational priorities. The agenda included strategic plans to promote responsible mining practices, local content participation, and environmental sustainability.
