On February 17, 2026, the Ghanaian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement detailing that the meeting was prompted by reports that a Russian national, purported to be a content creator, was involved in similar illicit activities in various nations.
During the discussions, Ambassador Berdnikov confirmed that Russian authorities were already aware of these allegations and had initiated an investigation into the matter.
