Member of Parliament for Fomena, Andrews Amoako Asiamah has been appointed as the second deputy speaker for the 8th parliament of the fourth Republic of Ghana.
The leadership of the house appointed Joseph Osei Owusu and Andrews Amoako Asiamah to serve as First and Second deputy speakers of parliament respectively.
The Fomena MP was before the 2020 general elections ousted from parliament and sacked from the governing New Patriotic Party.
He contested December 2020 as an independent candidate which he won massively.
