Alan Kyerematen promises economic revolution under Vision 2040 as he outlines an ambitious plan to transform Ghana into Africa’s next economic powerhouse. The leader of the United Party (UP) said the new agenda, titled The Paradise Project, seeks to deliver peace, national unity, inclusion, and prosperity for all Ghanaians.
Speaking at the launch of Vision 2040, Kyerematen emphasized that no country can progress without unity and peace. “Can you become the economic powerhouse of Africa if you are divided? No. Can you become the economic powerhouse of Africa if there is no peace in your country? No,” he declared, stressing that Ghana’s future depends on cooperation across political, ethnic, and social lines.
According to Kyerematen, past governments have created economic systems that favour a privileged few while leaving many behind. His new vision, he said, aims to end this imbalance by ensuring that opportunities are equally accessible to every citizen. He assured Ghanaians that the United Party would build an inclusive system that rewards hard work and innovation rather than political connections.
The Vision 2040 plan will focus on key areas such as industrialization, digital innovation, agriculture, health, and education. Kyerematen explained that his government would strengthen accountability and transparency to reduce corruption and ensure public resources are efficiently used.
He further revealed that the Paradise Project will include regional development hubs designed to promote local entrepreneurship and boost employment. These initiatives, he said, will lay the foundation for a self-sustaining and export-driven economy.
If successfully implemented, Vision 2040 could position Ghana as a leader in African development. However, many observers note that delivering on these promises will require consistent action and strong governance.
