The countdown has begun for the highly anticipated 15th edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), now officially set to take place in Morocco from July 5 to 26, 2025. Originally scheduled for 2024, the tournament was pushed forward to avoid overlap with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games—but the delay has only heightened excitement.

📍 Host Nation: Morocco’s Second Stint

After winning accolades for hosting the 2022 edition, Morocco returns as the proud host of the continent’s top women’s football competition. Matches will unfold across six stadiums in five cities:

  • Rabat

  • Casablanca

  • Mohammédia

  • Berkane

  • Oujda

With stadiums ranging from 10,000 to 35,000 capacities, the event is poised to blend grassroots energy with world-class spectacle.

  • 12 teams will participate
