Police Arrest Additional Suspect in Zebilla Officer Murder Case

In a significant development in the murder case of a police officer in Zebilla, Upper East Region, authorities have apprehended another suspect. Abdul Aziz Iddrisu, also recognized as Baaluuse, was taken into custody by the Ghana Police Service during a coordinated intelligence operation on February 17, 2026.

The police’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) confirmed that Iddrisu was arrested at his hideout in the Polego area of Bolgatanga. This action follows a prior arrest made earlier in their investigation into the tragic incident.

During the operation, law enforcement officials seized three mobile phones from the suspect. These devices are currently undergoing forensic analysis as part of the ongoing inquiry aimed at uncovering further details about the crime.

Moreover, police have indicated that Iddrisu has appeared in videos showcasing weapons purportedly linked to the criminal activities in the Zebilla area. As a result, a specialized police task force is actively engaged in efforts to locate these weapons and apprehend additional individuals connected to the case.

The CID has stated that Iddrisu remains in custody and is cooperating with investigators. They have assured the public that further updates regarding the investigation will be provided as new information becomes available.

This arrest marks a crucial step forward in the pursuit of justice for the slain police officer, as security agencies intensify their efforts to hold those responsible accountable.
