The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has informed residents across multiple regions about upcoming power outages as part of essential maintenance operations aimed at enhancing service quality. The scheduled interruptions are set to commence on February 8 and will persist through February 13, 2026.
Communities in Accra East, Accra West, Central, and the Tema regions will experience temporary power outages during this period. The most significant disruption is slated for the Tema Region on February 12, where power will be off from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Notable areas impacted by these outages include Yilo & Lower Manya Krobo, Adukrom, and the Commandos Military Training Camp, among others. The ECG has expressed its regret for any inconvenience caused by these necessary maintenance efforts.
In Accra East, power interruptions will occur on several days. On February 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., areas such as GIMPA, Achimota School, and North Dzorwulu will be affected. Further outages are planned for February 10 and 11, impacting various neighborhoods.
Accra West will also see significant outages on February 11, affecting locations like Fadama and Lapaz, with additional disruptions planned for other areas later in the week.
The ECG is urging residents to prepare for these outages and is providing updates on specific locations that will be affected. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly to minimize disruption to their daily activities.
