Seven Arrested in Tamale for Suspected Drug Possession

In a significant crackdown, law enforcement in Tamale has detained seven individuals on suspicion of possessing illegal narcotics and participating in drug-related activities. The coordinated operation by the Northern Regional Police Command targeted specific neighborhoods known for such activities.

The individuals arrested include Sulemana Sualha, 20; Alhassan Ayisha, 25; Abdul Fatawu Damba, 16; Mohammed Amin, 20; Ibrahim Abdulai, 20; Issah Abass, 17; and Ibrahim Osuman, 21. These suspects were apprehended during a police operation conducted in the Zogbeli and Kukuo areas, identified as hotspots for illicit drug activities.

Chief Inspector Alhassan Luckman Niendow, the Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrests, emphasizing the operation’s success in disrupting local narcotics distribution. Initial findings suggest that Ibrahim Osuman may play a significant role in the local drug trade. All suspects are currently detained and are cooperating with ongoing investigations to uncover further details about their operations and connections.
