Techiman Eleven Wonders FC Faces Transfer Ban Over Unpaid Dues

Techiman Eleven Wonders FC has been hit with a ban on both domestic and international transfers. This action comes after the club failed to comply with the rulings of the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Players’ Status Committee and subsequent enforcement by the Disciplinary Committee. The issue arose from the club’s non-payment to Moses Afriyie, their former assistant coach, despite a clear deadline.

Moses Afriyie reported to the GFA that since the initial decision was communicated, Techiman Eleven Wonders FC has persistently neglected to fulfill the payment obligations, even after the deadline had passed. The Disciplinary Committee’s Secretary reminded the club of their responsibilities under Article 15 (1) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, which addresses the enforcement of the Player Status Committee’s decisions.

The club was fined and granted an additional extension to settle the amount owed to Afriyie. However, a failure to comply with this directive has resulted in the imposition of a transfer ban, as stipulated under Article 15 (2) of the GFA Disciplinary Code. This ban will remain in effect until the full payment is completed.
