In a distressing event on the outskirts of Binduri, in the Upper East Region, two police officers have tragically lost their lives following an armed robbery attack. The Ghana Police Service has launched an intense search for the perpetrators involved in this heinous crime.
Details of the Incident
According to a statement from Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs, the officers were ambushed on Sunday, April 13, 2025. The assailants, yet to be identified, targeted the officers while they were traveling in plain clothes on a private motorbike from Bongo to Binduri.
Robbery and Murder
During the attack, the armed robbers not only fatally shot the officers but also fled with their motorbike, leaving behind a scene of devastation and tragedy for the community of Poyamirea.
The Ghana Police Service is urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of these criminals to come forward and assist in their capture to ensure justice is served.
