In a tragic event on Sunday, April 13, 2025, two police officers lost their lives in a shooting incident near Poyamirea, close to Binduri in Ghana’s Upper East Region. The officers, dressed in plain clothes, were traveling on private motorbikes from Bongo to Binduri when they were ambushed by suspected armed robbers. The attackers shot the officers, stole their motorbikes, and fled the scene.
