Abidjan, July 1 (Xinhua) – The World Bank has praised Côte d’Ivoire for its exceptional management of a $5 billion development portfolio, placing the country at the top of the sub-region in terms of disbursement performance.

Following a high-level meeting with Ivorian Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé in Abidjan, Ousmane Diagana, the World Bank’s Regional Vice President for Western and Central Africa, lauded the nation’s strong results and reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to further collaboration.

“As a strategic partner of Côte d’Ivoire, we will continue to collaborate in providing knowledge and advice,” Diagana said.

According to Diagana, Côte d’Ivoire currently ranks first in the sub-region in terms of disbursement—a key metric that reflects how effectively funds are being utilized for development.

“This opens up new prospects as the country finalizes its next national development plan,” he noted, commending the country’s strong and consistent project execution.
