The United States Embassy in Accra has announced a significant increase in the availability of non-immigrant visa appointment slots. This development, shared on the embassy’s official Facebook page, aims to facilitate more travel opportunities for individuals seeking to visit the United States.
In their communication, the embassy stated, “The U.S. Embassy in Accra has opened thousands of additional non-immigrant visa appointment slots, many of which are currently available. We continue to process non-immigrant visa applications efficiently.” This expansion is particularly crucial as the 2026 World Cup approaches, with many Ghanaians expressing intent to attend the event.
The embassy emphasized the importance of early application, advising those planning to travel for the World Cup to secure their visas as soon as possible. They reiterated, “If you do not yet have a valid U.S. visa, we encourage you to apply early to ensure a smooth travel experience.”
For aspiring travelers, the embassy has reminded applicants to utilize the official U.S. visa appointment website for their applications: https://gh.usembassy.gov/visas/.
