At the 2026 Controller and Accountant-General’s Annual Conference in Koforidua, Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang delivered an address highlighting the importance of leveraging technology to enhance fiscal governance. She stressed the need to enhance payroll systems to eliminate discrepancies like ghost names, ensuring that processes remain transparent and verifiable to protect public funds.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to ensuring every Cedi spent delivers tangible benefits to citizens, Opoku-Agyemang praised the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department for its pivotal role in translating policy into tangible outcomes.
