NDC Chairman Issues Strong Warning Against Register Tampering

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is taking a firm stance on electoral integrity as its Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, cautions party members against tampering with electoral registers ahead of the imminent branch elections. During his address in the Wa Central Constituency, Asiedu Nketiah emphasized the party’s reliance on comprehensive digital backups to thwart any manipulation attempts.

In a gathering at Boli, Asiedu Nketiah warned that those attempting to gain an unfair advantage by altering or concealing registers would face stringent penalties, including disqualification from running for any party positions. ‘We have ensured that our membership data is secure. Any manipulation will be futile as we have all data backed up,’ he declared.

The Chairman, popularly known as ‘General’, urged members particularly in the Upper West Region to return any branch registers in their possession. ‘Anyone holding our registers should return them immediately to avoid disciplinary measures,’ he advised, reinforcing that the party is committed to transparency and fairness.

These statements come at a crucial time as the NDC prepares for internal elections, pivotal for strengthening its grassroots structures in preparation for future political challenges. Asiedu Nketiah’s message underscores the leadership’s dedication to maintaining the integrity of the party’s electoral processes.
